In this article, we will answer the most common questions that I get asked on a daily basis about what Muay Thai does and doesn’t do to your body.

Muay Thai is a cardio-intensive workout. That means that it is great for shedding weight and toning muscles that are already there. To bulk up or build muscle, the only thing Muay Thai can do is help you with core strength and endurance.

Let’s get into the meat of the article. If you are looking to answer only one or 2 of these questions, feel free to skip to those sections. For now, let’s get straight into it.

Just before we can answer this question, we need to consider your circumstances. If you were already a strong and a relatively bulky person before coming into Muay Thai and you want to lose that bulk, or are you trying to use it to get bulky? Either way, let’s take a look at the answer to whether or not Muay Thai makes you bulky.

Muay Thai is a very cardio-intensive workout. This means that while you are doing Muay Thai, you will be sweating a lot, and you will also have an increased heart rate. So if you go into the martial art bulky, it will help you lose that bulk. If you are trying to become bulky, you could just split your training sessions up per week and do weightlifting 1 or 2 days a week and Muay Thai on the other.

If your goal is to become bulky, then I recommend that you split your Muay Thai training days up, and instead of going for Muay Thai classes three days a week, maybe go for Muay Thai classes twice a week and go lift weights twice a week. That is just an example of a schedule. At the same time, you want to be drinking whey protein to help you put on that bulk

If you can do Muay Thai and weightlifting together, it will help you become bulky. It is not because of the Muay Thai itself but because martial arts gives you discipline. It also teaches you how to effectively use your core body strength to maximize your workout efficiency.

All of that being said, if you combine Muay Thai with weightlifting and a good whey protein, you should be well on your way to putting on that bulk that you really want. To lose bulk, simply do Muay Thai as your fitness routine instead of weightlifting.

Unlike the previous section, this one is a little bit easier to answer because it is a lot more straightforward. As the title suggests, this section is all about whether Muay Thai gets you ripped or not. So, let’s answer the question: does Muay Thai get you ripped.

If you already have some muscle, it does not have to be a lot. Doing Muay Thai will help you get those muscles ripped. This is because you will constantly be shedding excess weight, which will help show those muscles a lot better. Also, you will be getting ripped in the process because you are doing a lot of bodyweight training.

As I said, you already need to have some muscle for this to work, and often what happens is, when we are putting on muscle, we gain excess weight. This happens to almost all of us and what most people don’t know is that the extra weight is water weight. Muay Thai is a perfect way to shed that weight.

Muay Thai is especially effective at shedding water weight because the martial art makes you sweat a lot.

Not only does having abs act as a little bit of a bragging right because it is one of the body types that is most desired in men and women, but it also shows that you put real hard work into looking after your body and people respect that. Trust me; it feels really good when you start seeing your abs. So, let’s take a look at whether or not Muay Thai will give you abs.

Muay Thai is a very good workout; it is actually a full-body workout. If you are focused on your abs, then you have to have a healthy diet, and you should spend some time focusing on your abs through body-weight training. Then, Muay Thai can definitely help you achieve abs. But doing Muay Thai alone does not get you abs.

As desirable as having abs is, one of the greatest things about that muscle is how simple it is to train it. You don’t need to go to any gym or go to any classes to work on your abs. All you need is something to keep your feet on the floor, and you can do some sit-ups and/or crunches.

Doing sit-ups, crunches, and/or planks before or after your Muay Thai training sessions will be the quickest way for you to build abs.

I have said this before in previous articles; you get different types of strong bodies. You get bulky ones with no definition, and then you get strong and toned ones with very low body fat. So, let’s answer the question, does Muay Thai tone your body? If so, why? Likewise, if not, why?

Again, this has to do with having some muscle to work with and then shedding off the excess weight. For doing core workouts and also full-body workout, Muay Thai is great at doing that. Those workouts are best if you are trying to tone your body. All you need to do is build some muscle first and then do Muay Thai to help you tone your body.

Whether it be for summer, for the beach, or whatever the occasion, having a toned body is not just about the “look.” People want to tone their bodies because it is more comfortable to move around, and it is more comfortable to do almost anything when you have a toned body.

Sometimes, Our Lives can get in the way of our ability to stay in shape. These include work and our personal lives, just being too busy to find the time to workout. When you take events such as 2020, it gets even harder to stick to a training routine. So, if you are out of shape, will Muay Thai help you get back into shape? Let’s take a look.

If you are out of shape, Muay Thai is one of the best ways of getting back into shape or even getting into shape for the first time. It is important to note that almost any martial art you do is really great at getting people in shape. Not only will it increase your fitness, but it will also help you lose weight, gain a very little bit of muscle, and just overall, it will give you a happy appearance.

If you are trying to lose weight, what do people always tell you? They say you should run, walk, lift weights, and so on. All of those are great; I do all of them. What if, instead of having only to do one of those every day, you mixed it up? So, instead of running 5 days a week, why not do Muay Thai twice a week and run 3 days a week.

That might sound like a heavy schedule, especially if you are starting out, but you can adapt it to suit your lifestyle.

Does Muay Thai Make You Bulky?
